PART 1: Write an example sentence for each:

PART 2: Re-write your 10 examples so they are a different kind of sentence. For example, change them from compound to complex, complex to simple, etc. Make sure that the meaning does not change.

In other words, I want two versions of the same idea, totally 20 sentences
PM1 Writing

Develop each “story” by inserting three or four sentences describing the background action. Remember, the goal is to create atmosphere.

1.  It was an ordinary day at school.

Suddenly, the fire alarm went off.

2.  We sat in the bay on the tiny boat and gazed at the beautiful view around us.

Then, out of nowhere, black clouds rolled in and the sky grew dark.

3. Detective Robson and Officer Lutes arrived at the scene and were shocked by the chaos around them.

(background action)

Officer Lutes radioed for backup while Detective Robson ran into the crowd.
