PM1 Writing

Develop each “story” by inserting three or four sentences describing the background action. Remember, the goal is to create atmosphere.

1.  It was an ordinary day at school.

(background action)

Suddenly, the fire alarm went off.

2.  We sat in the bay on the tiny boat and gazed at the beautiful view around us.

(background action)

Then, out of nowhere, black clouds rolled in and the sky grew dark.

3. Detective Robson and Officer Lutes arrived at the scene and were shocked by the chaos around them.

(background action)

Officer Lutes radioed for backup while Detective Robson ran into the crowd.
